As per directions, there's no restriction on carriage of luggage in brake van
of traveller trains as far as quantity and sort (personal or merchandise) of
luggage offered for booking worries .However, the surplus baggage in owner’s

Each traveller is allowed a free allowance up to which he can carry baggage with
him in the compartment, freed from value. The free allowance varies for different
classes of travel. children aged 5 and below twelve years are allowed 1/2 the
free allowance subject to the maximum of fifty Kgs. you are also allowable a
marginal allowance. there's a most ceiling on the baggage which can be
carried within the compartment for every class. These are indicated in the table
below :
